The launch of our new Parent and Toddler group has brought so much positivity and cheer!
Wow! What an amazing day we had last Tuesday, the 4th of July, at the launch of our new parent and toddler group for Deaf families! π
This group is for Deaf parents with either hearing or Deaf children, and also for hearing parents with Deaf children under 5 years old. It's a great opportunity to meet other families, share experiences, and have fun together!
We were so happy to see so many people join us at Coram's Fields, a lovely park near Russell Square Tube Station and Kings Cross Station. It has a fantastic playroom and playground where the kids can enjoy themselves and make new friends.
We also had some delicious nibbles and drinks for everyone to enjoy. The parents had a chance to chat and get to know each other better. We talked about what kind of workshops and activities we would like to have in the future. We have some exciting ideas and we can't wait to share them with you! Meanwhile the toddlers carried our their activities and gave a big thumbs up with the venue with its purpose build playroom and private playground in the Park.
We are thrilled that both the children and the parents loved the launch event and that they are looking forward to coming back every week. This shows that this group is much needed and very valuable for the Deaf community in London. π
If you are a Deaf parent with young children, or a hearing parent with young Deaf children (under 5), we would love to welcome you to our group! We meet every Tuesday during term time at 10am - 1pm at Guides Hall, Coram's Fields, 93 Guildford Street, London WC1N 1DN. Come and join us!
