Deaf-SELFs Easter Extravaganza! Eggs, Dragons, Outdoor Adventures and more!
What an absolute smashing Easter break at our Deaf-SELF Playscheme!
The Children's Group have had a delightful seasonally-themed holiday of festivities, adventure and theatre. They spent last Wednesday at Oasis Adventure Playground the children did a variety of both high-octane adrenaline-fuelled and gentle, calming activities; from crafting a bird house all they way to swinging on one of the fastest and largest swings in South London. On Thursday, the group were treated to a rich visual feast of a performance of Dragons and Mythical Beasts at the Southbank Centre. They met unicorns, trolls, dragons, and even the devilish tooth-fairy! This week, they enjoyed a fun-filled trip to the cinema, and finally a raucous session at Flip-Out; with go-karting, dodgems and skating galore!
Meanwhile, the Youth group have enjoyed a very active holiday of football, a themed egg-hunt, team challenges, and bowling. They kicked off the fortnight at TOCA Football, an indoor interactive football-playground that blends the digital with the physical; and had a brilliant time channelling their competitive energy to challenge their mates. Later they enjoyed some brilliant Easter-themed team-building games, intermingled with some BSL sessions led by our fantastic coordinator Habib. To end the week they got stuck into an intense bowling session!
We can't wait for our next Playscheme in the May half term!
