Mad Hatter Tea Party celebrations

On 2nd September Remark! Community FINALLY got the chance to celebrate the long overdue 10 year anniversary of our first lunch club opening. We celebrated in style with our ‘Mad Hatter’s Tea Party theme. The venue was decorated with beautiful vintage teacups and teapots, floral bunting, and some Alice in Wonderland themed costumes! 

It was truly wonderful to see so many faces, the room was full of hugs and laughter, some people not having seen each other for almost a year and a half due to lockdown! 

The day started off with a quick introduction from Steven Wynne, one of our Community Coordinators, welcoming everyone to the party and giving a brief introduction to the day, whilst being dressed as the king of cards! 

A buffet was served as well as a selection of delicious cakes and biscuits. These were followed by tea or coffee, putting our vintage china to good use. 

To wind down the day we had some speeches from the MD of Remark! Jonny Nelson, who gave thanks to the members who are sadly no longer with us, as well as the Remark! Community staff who made the party possible. 

A massive thanks to The Oaks, the venue kind enough to host our party and a special thanks to the Lottery fund who with their generous funding, made the party possible. 

See you all very soon for our next party, it will be hard to top this one!
