February Half Term Fun with Playscheme

Both groups at North and South Playscheme had an incredible week in February half term.

The North Youth group (11-16) learned some valuable skills about how to get the best out of their mobile phones, but also staying safe online and on social media. The South Youths had a great day of competition with indoor games at the new venue!

The Youth groups also met for two trips. The first to the F1 arcade where they spent all afternoon racing each other around a virtual racetrack. I speak for all the staff when I say this is much less stressful that watching them wizz around a go karting track! The other trip was to see the latest Marvel instalment, Captain America: Brave New World at the beautiful Ritzi Cinema.

The Children’s groups had a trip to the theatre for to Maria in the Stars a piece put together by Deaf creatives, and learned all about the planets in the preceding workshop.

The South Children’s group went to The Ecology Park where they learned all about camouflage skills and even got to handle some of the creatures, including a newt!

A highlight for the North Children’s group was a trip to Gravity in Stratford where we played on the Hyperfloors, a new favourite game where in groups you have to step on the different lights as they pop up. Brilliant fun alongside some great lessons on teamwork!
