100 Origami hearts for dear Captain Tom
The Captain Tom 100 challenge was announced recently as Friday 30th April would have been Captain Sir Tom Moore’s 101st birthday and the one-year anniversary of the extraordinary celebrations following the conclusion of his famous 100 laps of his garden that raised an incredible £38.9 million for the NHS.
Tomorrow will be a good day
Tom’s simple message of hope – “Tomorrow will be a good day” – resonated around the globe during some of the darkest days of the pandemic, bringing light and comfort to millions worldwide.
Katie, who has been a committed member of our Remarkable! Club since 2018, as well as a volunteer for our playschemes, has decided to join Captain Tom’s 100 challenge. She will honour his 101st birthday by pledging to make 100 origami love hearts. Wow!
This is quite the challenge! Not only is it time consuming but will take focus and patience! Good luck Katie, you have our hearts.
